This is just a quick little story about my crazy day I had. I'm currently interning with Ole Miss Athletics Game Day Operations so I've been working the baseball games along with softball, tennis, and track. Today the baseball game started at 3pm and I got to the field around 1:30. In the back of my mind I know I teach Pilates at 5:30, or so I thought. Luckily my friend who also works at PureRyde let me know that I was actually teaching at 4:30. So I'm leaving the game at 4 (Vanderbilt and Ole Miss are tied) and I get to my car and realize I don't have my keys. Well I walk/run back to the stadium hoping I left them in the storage room and they aren't there either. It's 4:15 and I call my Aunt who is at the game but unfortunately her car was parked on the square. Thankfully I was able to flag down one of those bike buggies and they were able to take me to work with a minute to spare. I ended up just teaching in my work uniform because my change of clothes were in my car. The class went well despite the chaos getting there. Riding in the bike buggie was fun too! After my class, I walked from PureRyde to the field and as I'm retracing my steps I found my keys in some shrubs. I now remember that I set my purse and keys down to tie my shoe and left my keys there on accident when I was heading to the field earlier.
I enter Swayze and it's the top of the 7th and we are losing 8-6. Miraculously though we come back and start getting runs! I could go into detail about it all but you just had to be there or at least had to be watching it on TV. The game was around 4 hours but it was worth every second. The final score was 10-8 with the Rebs winning the first SEC series of the season! Sports are great!
